Student Expectations

Punctuality and Attendance
  • Students must attend punctually all their timetabled classes
  • Students should not be at lockers between periods
  • Students should be at school at 8:40am
  • Students out of class should carry a note of explanation provided by their class teacher
  • Students should inform their class teacher if unable to attend a particular class
  • Students are not permitted to remain within 5 metres of the external fence
  • Students should remain within the school boundaries for the duration of the school day

The only exception is for students holding a Lunch Pass or Early Leaver's Pass. These can be obtained on written request by a parent/guardian to the Year Level Co-ordinator.

Behaviour and Appearance

  • Follow lawful instructions given by staff at all times.
  • Be well groomed and wear the designated College uniform.
  • Behave in orderly and considerate manner towards all members of the College community.
  • Behave in a manner that promotes a safe environment for themselves and other students and members of the College community.

Safety

  • Students must behave with care and concern for the safety of others.
  • The following types of behaviour are unacceptable:- fighting, spitting, kicking, punching, shoving- throwing missiles, water fights- abusive language, including expressions of racial intolerance.
  • Skateboards are not permitted as a means of travel to or from school or at school.

Learning

  • Respect the right of others to learn, co-operate with their teachers, actively involve themselves in all classroom or co-curricular activities and complete all required work on time.

Environment and Property Protection

  • Students must respect all property belonging to the College and to individuals.
  • Do not damage, deface, take or tamper with the property of others.
  • Students must respect the property and rights of all people in the vicinity of the school.
  • Students should ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the College environment, both inside and out.
  • Students must stay away from unauthorised areas and unsupervised classrooms.
