Brentwood has an extremely active co-curricular and extra curricular sports program. In addition to whole school swimming and athletics sports carnivals, and subsequent zone and state competitions, throughout the years teams from all year levels compete in round robins in a variety of sports.
A whole house house competition further encourages students to participate, and to strive for their personal best. Round robin teams also provide an opportunity for students to develop coaching and leadership skills, managing and conducting trainingfor their respective teams.
Artistic and cultural life features prominently in the activities of many Brentwood students. Students gain satisfaction and self esteem from their participation in College based performances. School plays, musicals, and musical performances are a major part of the extra curricular life of our students.
At Brentwood we have a growing Performing Arts program which we encourage all students to be a part of. Performing Arts showcases the talents of our students whilst promoting group participation and leadership skills.
Rock Eisteddfod, Production/ Musical
At Brentwood we alternate between producing an in-house production (such as the musical Anything Goes) and participating in the National Drug and Alcohol Free Rock Eisteddfod Challenge.
In the past Brentwood has been highly successful in this program, reaching the finals in 2003 with The Orb and coming 5th in the state in 2004 with What's An Aussie?
Performing Arts promotes students from all year levels to interact with one another, beyond the classroom. They have the opportunity to engage in activities such as acting, dancing, singing, costume design and making, set design and construction or being part of the backstage crew.
Performing Arts complements the school curriculum as it enhances confidence and self-esteem in our students. See the School Productions page for more information.
