At Brentwood Secondary College all students have the opportunity to engage in activities that develop and nurture their leadership skills.
Student Representative Council (SRC)
The Student Representative Council (SRC) is an important forum for students to share in the decision making of the College. There are representatives from each year level as members of the SRC. Two members of the SRC are elected to School Council and attend these meetings to report on the SRC's activities and provide a student voice to any decisions being made by the College. The SRC meets every Wednesday lunchtime to discuss issues and ideas to bring to the College Executive or School Council.
School Captains, Year Level Captains and Ambassadors
Each year two School Captains and two School Vice Captains are appointed to represent the entire student community. Our 2016 School Captains are Mudit Dhami and Tyanna Bennett and Vice Captains are Sam Otten and Georgia Kirby .
Each year level has two captains who are given the opportunity to take ownership of and lead year level events such as year level assemblies.
Students are also encouraged to become Brentwood ambassadors. Ambassadors are involved in events such as Learning Conferences, Open Day, School Tours, Presentation Night and Information Nights. Ambassadors welcome and interact with parents and provide information and support to our teachers involved in a particular event.
School for Student Leadership
In 2014, seven of our Year 9 students went to the School for Student Leadership - Snowy River campus for the whole of Term 3.
